During my studies I developed bioinformatical and mathematical tools to study offspring heterogeneity in brain organoids and to characterise cardiac organoids. My pipeline PhantomBuster removes sequencing artifacts in lineage tracing data with special focus on index-swapping, which affects whole-tissue lineage tracing overproportionally. To analyse the resulting offspring distributions I developed the simulation framework Pyrganoid and compared distributions accross conditions with an Optimal Transport based approach.
